On 29th October, the first personal exhibition dedicated to the designer Lorenzo Riva, curated by Paolo Aquilini and entitled “ll maestro è nell’anima. Lorenzo Riva - Cinquant’anni di alta moda” (The master is in the soul. Lorenzo Riva - Fifty years of high fashion), will take place at the Museo della Seta in Como (Como Silk Museum). Worldwide known for having dressed the most important brides of the international Jet set, Riva is also the undisputed master of prêt-à-porter style, of high fashion clothes and of sensual evening dresses. The exhibition of the Museo della Seta (Silk Museum) celebrates the fifty years of activity displaying clothes, sketches, international press reviews and, for the first time, shows the eclectic genius of the designer from Monza, through his little known but incredible collaborations. Sulutumana in concert
After the publication of the album "Vadavialcù" and the presentation of the new songs during the summer tour, on Sunday 27th October at 8.30 pm, the Sulutumana will come back "home" to the Teatro Sociale, the place that adopted them. It is here that they have performed in various exhibitions: concerts, music and storytelling performances, exhibitions dedicated to families and children. 100th anniversary of Confindustria Como
A perfect synthesis of past, present and future. Come and discover the photographic exhibition set up for the 100th anniversary of Confindustria Como. 24 photographs taken by Niccolò Biddau are the first series of several and evocative images representing the richness of the industrial reality through different approaches: starting from the essential relation with the territory as well as with history, in order to bring to light sectors, productions, forms, values such as commitment to sustainability and education. The photographic exhibition is a project of Confindustria Como curated by Mr Fabio Cani, historian, and includes photographs by Niccolò Biddau, installation by Arkham Project. The exhibition can be visited once again, in compliance with the current legislation to prevent the spread of Covid-19. A maximum of 2 people are allowed to enter at a time, after their temperature has been measured via a thermoscanner at the entrance to the building.

Black Wave
The suggestive photo exhibition by Carlo Pozzoni is the visual result of a project of ethical fashion and creativity by Francesca Gamba. The actors of the project are the students of the Cias Formazione Professionale school, girls and boys applying for international protection from Cooperativa Intesa Sociale of Como, the students of graphic design of the Isis Paolo Carcano, the tailor's shop Karkalò by Rebbio's church. Young soloists and orchestra
Arte Solidale Festival is an international classical music festival and charity, which takes place every year in the area of Lake Como, Italy. The concerts, set during springtime each year, take place in historical villas and palaces on the shores of Lake Como, where composers like Franz Liszt and Johannes Brahms used to spend time and compose, inspired by the amazing landscapes. Multiple themed concerts, including solo recitals, chamber music and orchestral music concerts, are presented to the audience. Every year the Festival presents events dedicated to families with children, as well. As per every year, the Festival will collect funds for minors in need, collaborating with local social organizations such as Coordinamento Comasco and Cooperativa Azalea (Tremezzina). All the artists and musicians involved in the Festival share the principle of supporting children as they deeply understand the need of a stable social environment during childhood.

Antonio’s Dream: A Journey Through Art and Textile
From 10 October 2021 to 31 January 2022 Fondazione Antonio Ratti hosts Antonio’s Dream: A Journey Through Art and Textiles, an exhibition curated by Lorenzo Benedetti, Annie Ratti and Maddalena Terragni, a project reconnecting the vision and history of the entrepreneur Antonio Ratti with his hometown, the city where his concept of entrepreneurial and corporate culture developed, leaving a precious legacy that is still alive today. Juxtaposing antique textiles, contemporary artworks, and archive material, the exhibition traces the life, work, and vision of the industrialist and art patron Antonio Ratti, one of the great entrepreneurs who with and through his company Ratti S.p.A., reconstructed Italy’s industrial sector inspired by a profound philanthropic and cultural vision. Manlio Rho. Abstract summary
From 25th of November 2021 to 6th of February 2022, the Pinacoteca Civica (Civic Art Gallery) of Como will host the Manlio Rho exhibition “Abstract summary. A new temporary exhibition displaying the works of retired professor and textile industry entrepreneur Gigi Graziano. Weaving has always been a part of Graziano’s life, so once he retired, he found himself with a house full of threads and the desire to try out new techniques. The outcome of his experiments are the works on display at the Silk Museum, created together with his wife Nella and with the contribution of his lifelong friend Alberto Giudici. Corpo senza Organi (Body Without Organs)
Como Contemporary Festival reopens its doors after the summer break with the photography exhibition Corpo Senza Organi (Body Without Organs) by Marco Frigerio and the sound art works by Alessandro Perini (Fossili Sonori, Sound Fossils). The exhibition will be hosted by the Museo della Seta (Silk museum) in Como from December 1 till December 12 and will also welcome the finalists if the 5th edition of the International Composition Competition Appassionato Ensemble. The final concert and the award ceremony will take place on Sunday, December 12, at 5 p.m., with the presence of tbe jury chaired by Alessandro Solbiati. During this final evening the art works on display will be accompanied by the sounds of a contemporary music concert, as it is an established tradition of this festival, whose aim is to be a place and time for socializing and sharing, when music blends with and contaminates other art forms.
