Silk in Como, history and tradition

The museum shows the cultural and entrepreneurial tradition of silk in Como with machines, looms, fabrics and stories that had huge impacts on the territory. The museum is over 1000 square meters large and it's a place for exhibitions and cultural events open to visitors and schools.
The Museum has a store of products reflecting the high quality silk production in the city of Como.
When purchasing an item, you give your contribution to this cultural organization so that it can continue to fulfil its mission aim at preserving, studying and spreading its territory’s culture and history.

Hours

The Museum will be closed to the public on 31st October and 1st November 2023.

The Museum will be open:

Tuesday - 2 pm to 6 pm
From Wednesday to Sunday - 10 am to 1 pm and 2 pm to 6 pm
