Contest

The Alessandro Volta Foundation promotes the contest “Rediscover Alessandro Volt@” dedicated to second level secondary school students.

The award came in 2017 at the VI edition entitled Tell about Physics in 10 minutes: “Piccolo, piccolo, ma quanto?” (Small, small, but how much?)

The participants selected for the final stage of the content will have to present, individually or in group, a topic concerning the behaviour of systems at their elementary level. Oral dissertation should not exceed 10 minutes and be accompanied, if possible, by an experimental demonstration. The presentation will take place during the OFIS2017 Workshop in the afternoon and will end with the awards ceremony: two prizes of 1000 and 500 Euro will be awarded.

The 2017 edition of the contest is part of the collateral initiatives related to the work “Ettore Majorana. Chronicle of infinite disappearances”, opening title of the Lyrical Season, on 28 and 30 September 2017.

Each winner will receive a complimentary ticket to attend the show on September 30 that will be staged at the Social Theatre of Como, while all participants will receive tickets at a discounted price for the titles scheduled from September to May 2017.
